And you may get surprises….
The fresco above is by Vincenzo Foppa, a fifteen century painter. There are stories about it – that the painting had been possessed by the devil and when a bishop expelled the demonic presence the little horns appeared as a reminder is the most famous. It is likely that the painter wanted to remark the local dislike for the cult of Virgin Mary.
The church is St Eustorgio, in Milan.
If I had time it would be great to imagine some good story, but alas, not now.
